Cocktail Hour: Coco Diablo Old Fashioned Recipe

Hello, cocktail lovers! I'm back with another exciting cocktail idea that I've been playing around with. As you know, I'm a whiskey enthusiast, but there are times when a particular whiskey doesn't quite hit the mark when sipped neat. That's when I like to mix things up and try it in a cocktail before making a final verdict.

Recently, I tried the Five Nine Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey. This whiskey has a distinct tobacco flavor, which I wasn't too keen on when sipped neat. However, I also detected a hint of chocolate, which got my creative juices flowing.

I had just bought some King Floyd’s Green Chili Bitters for another cocktail and thought they would pair well with Fee Brothers Aztec Chocolate Bitters in an Old Fashioned. And boy, was I right! The result was a cocktail that was nothing short of amazing!

After creating this cocktail, I did a quick online search to see if there was anything similar out there. The closest I found was a Kahlua cocktail. So, I might have just invented this Old Fashioned variation!

Now, let's get to the part you've been waiting for - the recipe!
